The Salvation Army responded to the Butts Canyon Fire in the Napa-Lake County area. A Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services canteen from the Napa Corps arrived at the Middletown High School (Lake County) and served meals to first responders and evacuated families.

The Napa Corps, along with help from the Solano County Salvation Army, served 174 meals in a two-day response.

According to CalFire, the fire grew to at least 4,300 acres and more than 1,000 firefighters from all over the region battled the flames.

“And we’re grateful to the Red Cross and Salvation Army for stepping right in and helping," said Berryessa Estates evacuee resident Tina Marchetti in a Napa Valley Register story. "A lot of community members have come by and offered us clothing."
